Hero Honda bullish on the competition

HERO HONDA finally realized that they have to upgrade their bike (Karizma) which was launched in 2003 since then the bike had the same technology without upgrade for six years, it was lagging behind with the likes of YAMAHA R15, BAJAJ PULSAR 220 and TVS Apache 180 .

HERO HONDA is testing the new Karizma (pic courtesy of Autobild Magazine) which is expected to go on sale by September. As expected the new Karizma gets cosmetic styling changes in front fairing and rear cowl. It might also get a LED tail lamp cluster as in CBZ Xtreme and a new exhaust. The new Karizma will also get gas charged reservoir suspension as in the Hunk. However whether the new Karizma is Fuel Injected or not we cannot confirm now. But what we can say you is the new Karizma gets a rear disc brake. The need for disc brake might be because of upward revising of power and torque ratings.

We will have to wait and see if this move by Hero Honda actually does any good for them
